The health benefits of gardening are widely recognised and GPs are being encouraged to prescribe this type of activity.
NHS England now support Social prescribing. A referral system through which GPs help patients engage with community based activities as a means of improving their health.
According to their data, they say “Growing evidence shows that referrals to community services such as exercise or art classes, history groups and even ballroom dancing can boost health and well being more than medication. “

We can provide seminars and presentations for GPs and healthcare professionals to discuss how gardening can benefit many mental and physical illnesses and help their practice save valuable resources.
