Becorns are the most adorable little characters created by Photographer and Designer David Bird. This article is not sponsored, we were just captivated and wanted to share these amazing artworks.
The woodland in Autumn abounds with amazing colours and is the most magical season of the year.
Leaves in so many shades of green, burnt sienna, gold, red and brown are accompanied by glistening berries and fun shaped seeds.
Acorns, Conkers and Pine cones are among the most common found in British and American woodland and we just love collecting them to adorn our autumnal displays and arrangements.
However, take things just a stage further and these items can be turned into little works of art.
Becorns
This is just what David Bird from Rhode Island in the USA did and has created the most amazing characters using only Acorns, twigs and other seasonal woodland finds.
Being a photographer, toy designer and illustrator, it was natural for him to make things from this abundant autumn harvest. He places the little characters in garden settings interacting with wildlife, the results of which are some ingenious and addictive videos.
If you are as bowled over by these cute characters as we are, then visit his website where you can find our more about David Bird and his little Becorn characters. His beautiful cards, prints and Calendars will make wonderful gifts.
Make your own
Why not go for a walk and see what natural Autumn goodies you can find.
Whilst we may not have David’s vision and skill, it is still possible to create some lovely little woodland people and it’s a great way to occupy the children on a cold, wet day.
Martha Stewart has created a video about how to make seasonal Acorn people.
