The top award at Chelsea has been pickup up by South West in Bloom and Beautiful Fife. The huge floral exhibit in all colours of the rainbow feature a Falkland farm cart, dozens of planted wellies and life-size figures of Bayleaf the Gardener, Dill the Dog and Parsley the Lion from children’s tv show ‘The Herbs’.
Celebrating 50 years of Britain in Bloom and collaboration between Beautiful Fife and South West in Bloom, the display has been awarded a gold medal and the prestigious Diamond Jubilee Award for the best floral exhibit at the Show.

It will remain on show in London until Chelsea closes on Saturday night then every last leaf and petal will have to be packed onto a truck and transported to Edinburgh in time for Gardening Scotland 2014, which opens on Friday, 30 May.
Keith Jackson from Beautiful Fife says: “We are thrilled with our Chelsea win and it will be a mammoth effort to get the entire display up to Scotland and rebuilt in just five days but we can’t wait to see it flourish again at Gardening Scotland. The team from Fife have been brilliant and I’m really proud of them but there’s still some way to go before we can put our feet up.”
A total of 17 Medal winners will be heading straight to Scotland’s national gardening show from Chelsea, including Kevock Garden Plants from Lasswade who have also won Gold at the London event.
Gardening Scotland 2014 will take place from Friday, 30 May until Sunday, 1 June at The Royal Highland Centre Edinburgh. It will feature floral displays, show gardens, crafts and cookery and more than 400 exhibitors selling gardening and lifestyle essentials.
