As the sun starts to break through the overcast sky the closing sequences for an episode of Beechgrove Garden are being filmed.
Jim McColl, Carole Baxter and the other presenters were to be found all over the site as they put together a 30 minute special programme to be broadcast on BBC Two (Scotland) and available nationally via iPlayer.
Not only are TV programmes being recorded but radio programmes are also being created.
Appearing at the BBC Scotland Beechgrove Theatre will be regular contributors ready to offer tips and answer gardening questions.
Assorted discussions and lectures are also scheduled. Topics include gardening on a budget, and therapeutic gardening.
Two special editions of BBC Radio Scotland’s Beechgrove Potting Shed, will also be recorded.
Gardening Scotland, is seen by many in the region to be the high point of the gardeners calendar, and has been said to be the Chelsea of the North.
A total of 17 Chelsea medallists headed straight to Edinburgh from London, offering Scottish gardeners the first chance to buy the plants seen at the Chelsea Flower Show.
