The award-winning show at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire is staged entirely undercover, inside two large exhibition halls and a giant marquee protecting visitors, celebrity guests, exhibitors and livestock including chickens, pigs, goats and bees against the elements.

Celebrity Chef John Burton-Race will create culinary delights in the Cookery Theatre .

BBC TV’s award-winning presenter James Wong is on a mission to tempt gardeners into becoming more adventurous by growing ‘exotic edibles’.

The botanist will be giving daily talks in the Experts Theatre urging gardeners to explore the vast range of exotic fruit and vegetables that can germinate and flourish in the UK climate.

Experts at the show include broadcaster and writer Pippa Greenwood, celebrity chef Rachel Green and The Edible Garden Show’s own ‘Grow Your Own’ guru Paul Peacock.

There’s sure to be a buzz of excitement from inside the ‘Potting Shed’ where expert beekeepers will wow audiences with demonstrations on collecting and processing honey and divulge top tips on how to keep the hive healthy, flourishing and free from disease.

There’ll also be fun-filled ‘Potting Parties’ in the Shed organised by Urban Allotments where visitors can get advice on planting and growing.

The British Pig Association will showcase native breeds of pigs and entertain families with daily ring demonstrations. Would-be pig owners will gain an invaluable insight into how to keep and breed these delightful animals. For the children, the BPA’s Junior Pig Club will stage their ‘Pig Olympics’.

But if henhouses, chickens and fresh eggs are more your thing, poultry vet Victoria Roberts will be on hand to share her hen-rearing tips. Victoria, whose passion and talent for rearing poultry began when she was only four, will bring along some of her pure breeds to demonstrate how to handle the birds and check for weight-loss and disease.
