Celebrating 250 years of Scottish plant hunters

A celebration of 250 years of Scottish Plant Hunters and the plants they introduced into cultivation

‘In Search of the Blue Poppy’, an illustrated talk by Julia Corden, manager of the Explorers’ Garden at Pitlochry  was only the start of the club’s celebration of Spring.

On Saturday, March 5th the group hosts a ‘Snowdrop Walk’ at Gagie House.

April is the time for a sociable, evening visit to Ferngreen Garden Centre for discounted garden shopping. Next event on the schedule is a visit to Angus Plants, to see at its best, a fine collection of auriculas or painted ladies.

Throughout the Spring and Summer, there will be further visits to gardens and specialist growers as well as a program of speakers, including John Mattingley from Cluny Gardens, Perthshire.
