Erskine and the ex-Service charity Gardening Leave, have joined forces to help service personnel suffering from stress.
Gardening Leave will run a horticultural therapy project, based in the Old Garden Centre at Erskine. Erskine will be recruiting suitable volunteers to assist a qualified therapist.
This is the first time that the military in the UK, will use horticultural therapy to provide a relaxed environment, where veterans can deal with their problems in a positive way, promoting a more optimistic future
Combat stress can affect any age group and results in various problems, including; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and anxiety.
